- Will transportation be provided?
We will arrange carpools and try to provide rides from different locations in the Bay Area for those who need rides, as well as for those flying in. If you or a parent are able to be a driver, please let us know!
- Which airport should I fly in to?
If you are traveling by plane, you should plan to fly in to San Jose (SJC) or San Francisco International Airport (SFO). Flights should be arranged to arrive before 12pm on Friday, May 27th and depart after 7pm on Monday, May 30th to allow for driving time between the airport and the ashram. If you cannot find flight times matching this and are in need of accommodation on Thursday or Monday night, please reach out to us.
- Can I join late or leave early?
Yes, we can accommodate you if you're not able to join the whole time, but depending on your availability we may or may not be able to provide transportation for you.
- What is the facility like?
Krishnalaya is a beautiful ashram nestled in the coastal mountains and giant redwood forests of Piercy, CA. The photo gallery below shows several of the ashram's features.
- What are the room accommodations like?
Attendees will be sharing cabins (pictured below), with around 3-4 people per cabin. Each cabin has a shared bathroom. Men & women will have separate accommodations.
- What meals will be served?
We will have 3 meals of healthy sattvik food served everyday and a midday snack.
- What safety precautions will be taken?
All attendees will be up to date with COVID vaccinations, and encouraged to wear masks if that is more comfortable, but adhering to county guidelines, we will not require them. We will provide hand sanitizer & handwashing stations before all meals.
- What should I bring?
We encourage comfortable Indian attire as well as clothing for sports and outdoor activities. A notebook, pen/pencil is recommended for taking notes. A comprehensive packing list will be provided to participants before the retreat.
